Howdy, thanks for taking the time to stop by and read a bit about me! My name is Roxy and I'm just a goth bitch on the internet who's a tech nerd and interested in anything tech-related. Some things about me are that I'm 16, trans, well... pre-trans, I'm a furry (my fursona is a fox/skunk hybrid) and I'm also mainly a metalhead but also enjoy hardcore punk, hard rock, and some alternative rock/rock music so if you have any recommendations just let me know.
Some of my hobbies include photography, film photography, developing film at home, skateboarding, taking things apart to see how they work and also collecting fire alarms. (I have a pretty huge interest in fire alarms.) Some hobbies I want to get into are FPV drone building, mountain biking, lock picking/lock collecting, networking/IP phones, SCUBA diving, rock climbing and also learning electric guitar. I also know a bit of Python, HTML(how else would I make this site lmao) and CSS; I really want to learn Javascript, Rust, C++, and maybe Swift eventually.
This was my first fire alarm panel and this is what sparked my interest in fire alarms and making a fire alarm system for my house
After getting my first fire alarm panel I wanted to get into addressable fire alarm systems; eventually, after saving some money I got a working addressable fire alarm panel and made a home system out of the NFS2-640.
I built this demonstration board for my Simplex 4007ES fire alarm panel
After getting my Simplex 4007ES fire alarm panel I was in love with the way Simplex was programmed, how customizable, and how flexible Simplex is; I always used to hate Simplex due to the slow reset time and due to how proprietary it is, but after getting a feeling for Simplex I started liking their hardware and replaced my Notifier panel with a Simplex panel. This is also my first fire panel with integrated voice evac so that's neat.
